Sunrise And Change
What I love about beer and photography
I currently work a ‘swing’ shift; 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. If I’m lucky, I’m home around midnight. And I also decided I want to see a sunrise. So a groggy Ethan hopped out of the car and was greeted with stunning colors and views. Doubling back to get these was an awesome experience for me, but capturing it in a consumable and shareable format and sharing with others is just as fulfilling. I captured what I could, I captured what I thought was cool, I perfected it to the best of my abilities, and shared it with people with the hopes they would enjoy the result. Which brings me to beer… I fell in love with beer while home brewing in my dorm room. I was chasing that high that many home brewers look for; the feeling you get when you see someone enjoy your beer. You’re proud of what you made, you spent hours crafting something, you may have even picked that beer specifically for that person to expand their beer horizons. If you do it just right, you can even change their tastes, pallet, or preferences forever. This feeling drives you to craft that next beer, to put a bit of your personality into it, to say “This is me in that glass.”
I will be closing out one chapter this week and beginning a new one next week. I get the opportunity to work as an innovation specialist on the brewing side. I don’t know what this next chapter will hold for me, but I’ll get to help bring new beverages into this world. Each beer, seltzer, energy drink, chelada, etc. has the opportunity to be someone’s favorite. It can be their celebration, their dinner pairing, their tradition, their bonding experience, their gift to a friend, their art, or, simply bring a smile to their face. I’ll get to share beers on a grand scale, and whether you know me or not, you get to come on this journey!
Since I can’t share a beer with you via screen, I hope you enjoy these moments and pictures of beers.
Cheers!
Ethan
