Let’s taste some fall beers!
Bring your best fall beer! Something brown (like falling leaves), something red (like red heirloom corn), or something spooky and ghostly (like a dia de los muertos 💀). Bring what you think would be yummy!

What is Beer Book Club (BBC)?
This is a great opportunity to hang out with friends, taste some beer, enjoy yourself, and celebrate fall. It’s a semi-guided, pot luck beer tasting where we all learn a thing or two about a thing or two! Here’s how it works.
Everyone brings some beer that fits the theme
How much beer? Enough to share with the group…6ish generally does it, but if it’s something nice and comes in a 4 pack, that’s fine. If it’s something that comes in a 22oz bottle, that’s cool too (maybe consider 2). If it’s something exquisite that comes in a single 11.2 oz bottle, that’s fine as long as I get to taste some 😊. Remember, sharing is caring!
Everyone brings beer in this theme and we try to try them all
I’ll provide some snacks, but if you’re in the mood for anything specific, bring it!
If anyone wants to bring a cake, we can do that too. If everyone brings a cake…well that’ll be a challenge, wouldn’t it!
I’ll have a tasting notebook, feel free to bring/start yours
I’ll provide some beer tasting notes, we’ll all pretend these are super insightful
The theme: Summer Sip
This BBC theme is “Spooky Season.” So bring your best ‘Spooky,’ ‘Season,’ or ‘Spooky Season” themed beer. If you don’t know what that means, that’s fine. Bring a gose, those are salted and you can say “See, it’s seasoned!” Bring a nut brown ale because those are great fall beers, I love nut browns (seriously, bring one). Bring a Halloween themed beer because that’s spooky! Bring an Ichabod Crane beer because of the headless horseman/being metal AF (seriously, I’m pretty sure Pennsylvania knows how to make beer). Bring a beer that features Tony Hawk wiping out hard (a fall themed beer…get it? 🤣). Bring a Mexican chocolate and chili beer with a bigass skull on the label, because that’d be rad! Don’t bring a pumpkin beer, because everyone is probably thinking that already and you want to be different.
Only rule: please don’t bring anything from beer sales. Second ‘only rule:’ bring what you like and, when in doubt, make up an excuse as to why it fits the theme.
Here’s some neat beers that aren’t in theme 🤷♂️
